Ray Glass Studios

Alex Ray grew up in Waterville, Ohio. He first discovered his love for glass during a bead making course in his high school art class. His teacher encouraged him to apply for a scholarship through the Toledo Art Museum where he was able to pursue this new founded passion.  Alex then went on to study art at Bowling Green University.  Through his study, Alex was able to find his true calling in traditional Italian style glass blowing. While he enjoys making a variety of glass, his true talent shows in his large bowls. Currently, Alex is living with his wife and daughter in Northern Michigan where they operate a small home studio nestled in the woods.
